Location search terms & privacy

Updated September 8, 2026. This notice covers ChoiceWorth's grocery search and Fuel on this trip features.

Using location results

Live place information and driving routes are supplied by Google Maps. Use of these results is subject to the Google Maps / Google Earth Additional Terms of Service and Google Privacy Policy.

Results are informational, not a guarantee of fuel availability, access, opening hours or price. Confirm these details with the station. Membership and fuel discounts are not applied automatically. Driving miles are measured from the selected store, not your home or an entire onward trip.

What this feature sends

When you run a live search, your store search text is sent to the ChoiceWorth server and Google Maps. Selecting a store sends its place identifier to our server; we request its location, nearby fuel listings and driving routes from Google. Your fuel grade and selected memberships are sent to our server to filter results. These settings are not sent to Google. The fill quantity is used only in your browser.

What this feature keeps

This feature does not request your device's GPS location, save a trip history or write your searches, memberships or location results to its database or browser storage. Results are held temporarily in browser memory. Hosting and network providers may retain standard request logs, including search text in request URLs. Google processes requests under its own privacy policy.

Example trips

Example branches, stations, prices, distances and opening hours are fictional. They are not live retailer data and do not provide navigation. Retailer names identify example scenarios, not a partnership or endorsement.

Grocery searches and baskets

When connected, Kroger receives your search ZIP, product search terms, selected store identifier and product identifiers through our server. Basket quantities remain on our server and in your browser; they are not sent to Kroger. We do not request access to your retailer account, points balance or checkout. Search results and baskets are held in browser memory and are cleared when you leave or reload the grocery page. The grocery integration does not retain retailer catalogs or prices in a database. Anonymous daily provider request counts are stored to enforce usage limits.

Product listings are not a physical shelf-stock guarantee. Basket estimates use supplied regular package prices and omit promotions, rewards and taxes. Weighted items and missing price bases are not included in a complete total. Nutrition labels and organic certification are not verified by this integration. Retailer sites opened from links apply their own privacy policies and terms.

The Kroger points calculator uses only your browser entries. It does not access a loyalty account or redeem rewards. Receipt review is separate from live price lookup; a receipt records a past purchase.

Nutrition comparisons

Manually entered labels and shelf prices stay in page memory. When USDA lookup is connected, barcode searches and the selected FoodData Central record ID pass through our server to USDA. Manufacturer-supplied records may be incomplete or out of date; verify the current package. This feature does not confirm organic certification, allergen safety, medical suitability or product equivalence, and does not send your nutrition entries to an AI model.

Upload sessions and request protection

Uploads use a private, HttpOnly browser cookie established before processing. A retry key, owner-scoped file fingerprint and result identifier are retained for up to 30 days so a retry does not repeat processing or recreate a deleted document. Original files are not retained. Clearing browser cookies removes access; account recovery is not available. Production request limits use a hashed client IP supplied by our authenticated proxy, held in process memory for approximately one minute. Provider usage counters are separate and do not contain your label entries.

Document processing

When document reading is enabled, sanitized photos or rendered PDF pages are sent to Google Vertex AI to extract bill or receipt fields. Images can still contain visible personal information: redact information you do not want processed before uploading. We do not send documents to a public malware-analysis service. Automated extraction can be wrong; check results against your original document.

Document reading is for adults aged 18 and over and requires your consent before submission.

ChoiceWorth retains extracted fields, not the original file, for up to 30 days plus the daily cleanup interval. You can delete a result from its page; encrypted backups expire within seven days. We do not use AI to invent current prices or determine medical suitability.

Visitor reporting

When enabled, we count visits to the home, fuel, grocery and utility pages. No analytics cookies are used. A secret-keyed, daily-changing hash of your network address estimates visitor networks, not individual people. We retain these records for up to three days plus the daily cleanup interval, and aggregate reports for up to 30 days. Reports contain page counts and broad referral categories, never raw IP addresses, email addresses, full referring URLs, searches or document identifiers. Browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control preferences disable this collection. Shared networks, blockers and automated traffic affect the estimates. When email delivery is configured, aggregate reports are sent to ChoiceWorth's administrator through Resend.
